Home Depot Kids Workshops for free!

When I heard about this from my friend Jennifer in San Diego I couldn’t believe I was so out of the loop.

Home Depot wills Kids Workshop every first Saturday of the month, with the next one on Saturday, March 3rd between 9AM and 12PM. Some of their past projects include building toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouses and bug-houses.  This month the theme is Nascar and they are building some sort of car.

Here are the details:

  • FREE hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5 – 12 offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety along with instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment.
  • All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.

And if you can’t make it, you can buy some of their kits online to make later.

See you guys there this Saturday!
