Back to School Organization

3D render of the inside of a classroom with back to school written on the chalkboard

With school approaching for most of us (although some have started already!) I found a few links some of you may want to use use.

Here are some back to school questions to keep or save in a memory book.

Here is a customizable chore chart to get those kids back in the saddle.

I love a good photo booth so check out any of these to print first_day_of_school_signs1 or these

Another way to end the day or end the first week of school is with theseawesome questions we put in a jar after_school_questions

Also here are some cute notes to put in your kids lunches if you are into that as well.

The Art Bus by Party Junkies

Calling all artists!!

We had an amazing party last night for Sydney’s 4th Birthday, and if I do say so myself, it was one of my best! I had read about the Art Bus on Stroller Traffic a while back and booked them before I even finished reading the article.  It’s an incredible repurposed school bus (with AC!) that the kids can not only paint the exterior of (and the tires) but is filled with amazing nooks and crannies inside for custom art projects, hair chalk, body tattoos, face painting and more. And the best thing about it is they come to you!

I can’t tell you how many guests couldn’t get over the fact that the kids could actually paint the bus! Inside the bus there is project for everyone of all ages, boys and girls alike and the staff takes the time to really work with each kid to create a masterpiece.  Check out some of our pics below and tell Selin you heard about them from me!

Sell your barely or never worn Lululemon for cash or gift cards!

lulunI’m sure over the years as we have racked up on Lululemon groove pants, jackets, sports bras, shorts, etc..a lot of it falls by the wayside in our closet or our drawers. Either we don’t like it anymore, we want the next best style, we don’t fit in it or it was just a bad purchase…I know I’ve felt all of the above. So why not get some cash for your gently worn or never worn clothes?? Or even a Lululemon gift card??

My friend Loree and her company We Buy Lulu will do it all for you, they’ll sell it (on ebay) and cut you a check. Something is better than nothing if it’s just collecting dust! Then you can march right back into the stores and buy the newest styles. My friend sent in her pieces she never wears and got a $400 check!

You really have nothing to “lu-se”. Get it??

Noel’s Heroes Charity Golf Tournament!

hope for heros

The Inaugural Noel’s Heroes Golf Tournament, Auction and Dinner Benefiting the Hope and Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund.

Please take a moment to learn about this amazing organization that my friend and client, Noel Wax, just started. They are looking for golfers as well as people who can donate auction items for the gala dinner.

A dear friend of Noel’s was diagnosed with Leukemia many years ago.  Through the countless hours at his bedside, Noel met some amazing people (nurses, doctors, patients) over the 18 months of his treatment.  The most impactful were the kids.  He couldn’t believe how amazing their positive attitudes and beaming spirit were in the face of death.  Many years later Noel got involved with the Hope and Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund in New York City.  He would bring players to the pediatric oncology center to visit with the kids.  If the kids were feeling well enough he would take them to Yankees and Mets games.  If a child was not going to make it we did everything we could to have them meet their favorite player or experience something really cool around sports.  He eventually started Noel’s Heroes to provide kids that have survived childhood cancers with a forum to learn about the careers available to them in sports, media and entertainment.  Each summer he bring groups of kids to different businesses in New York and Los Angeles to to learn about how to get in to the business.  He funds this program 100% on his own.  All the money he raises through the tournament goes directly to Hope and Heroes so that they can continue their medical miracles and we can have more kids survive this dreaded disease.

So if you are a golfer or know of a golfer, read on and please forward about this great tournament he is putting together.
